Awards & Honors: Penn ranked fourth by U.S. News & World Report
The University of Pennsylvania placed fourth in the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings of “America’s Best Colleges,” up one spot from last year. Wharton’s undergraduate business program ranked first, and the school’s real estate, marketing, management, insurance and finance programs all topped out in the specialties rankings. Penn ranked 10th in best value.

On the fringe
Don’t feel left out. Though it’s true that most of the shows in the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe (through Sept. 18) take place in Old City, this year several are taking up residence here in University City. Fresh look for old logo
Penn Athletics is set to roll out an eye-catching new logo this fall. The revamped design, an update of the familiar split “P”, will be on display at Franklin Field and the Palestra this fall and on many team uniforms by next year. The logo also appears on a new selection of replicas of Penn basketball uniforms and other workout gear, available for purchase by mid-month, says Sharlene Sones, director of marketing and product development for Business Services.
