Eric Kandel
Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist Eric Kandel, whose work has explored everything from memory storage in animals to drug abuse, discusses his life as a young Jewish boy in Vienna and how it shaped his career—plus, how he came to reconcile science and humanistic questions, as discussed in his latest book. This lecture is presented by the Penn Jewish Studies Program and the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies.
