The official opening of Sansom Common last week proved a case study in celebratory planning: Design the weather, invite the neighborhood, showcase the music of Lettuce (funk/hip-hop) and Signature (jazz), serve barbecue, etc., and watch 'em line up and chow down. Not twins, Khalilah Bryan (C'00, left) and Shannon McDougal (C'99) came to the party, along with Mayor Ed Rendell (where there's food ...) and hundreds of others.
