LUCY moves

To avoid the construction and congestion at Presbyterian Hospital, LUCY, the University City loop bus, has some route changes.

As of Feb. 11, LUCY no longer travels through Myrin Circle at Presbyterian Medical Center. Instead, new stops will be located outside the Medical Office Building at the entrance to the circle. The Green Loop stop will be on the north side of the street. The Gold Loop and Mid-day Express stop will be on the south side of the street.

LUCY, which is wheelchair accessible, links 30th Street Station, Penn and Drexel, the Science Center, and the hospitals on workdays from 6:10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and is free to employees at those institutions who can show an institutional ID. Still faithful

A surprising number of America’s youngsters have God on their minds. That’s according to a survey by the School of Social Work, which found that 86 percent of Americans aged 11 to 18 believe that religion is an important part of their lives.

Sixty-seven percent of youth interviewed in the national survey said they attended a place of worship in the past month, and 42 percent said they participate in programs or groups within their congregations. The results, which are consistent with findings from past generations, shatters the myth that today’s youth are less religious than previous generations.

Paid time off may not normally be used for absences due to illness unless they fall under the guidelines of Penn’s Family and Medical Leave or Short-term Disability policies, the Human Resources Office told “Benny” in response to his Feb. 7 column on the use of paid time off.
