In collaboration with the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Penn Museum presents flutist Emi Ferguson and harpist Ashley Jackson for a conversation and musical demonstration, moderated by Assyriologist Paul Delnero. The conversation will explore the role of the flute and harp in Sumerian culture.

Penn is hosting its first-ever interdisciplinary conference focused on the arts in 13th-century France, including those from the clerical, scholastic, musical, medical, artistic, legal, architectural, and literary cultural worlds. Panelists include scholars from Penn and more than a dozen other universities, in the U.S. and abroad, known for medieval studies.
