Cancer patients who are ineligible for clinical trials receive immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) at greater rates than patients who are trial eligible despite no survival benefit, according to a new study by researchers at the Perelman School of Medicine, which suggests that the positive results for phase 3 clinical trial participants receiving ICI treatment may not translate to patients who are ineligible for trials due to factors such as organ dysfunction.

For the first time since the Law School’s Center on Professionalism initiated its First Generation Professionals Fellowship (FGP), each of the three JD classes in the Law School includes a cohort of FGP Fellows. Travel in Greece was safer in the summer of 2020, thanks to a new approach to COVID-19 border screening developed by LDI Senior Fellow Hamsa Bastani and collaborators. Eva—a machine-learning system using up-to-date data on incoming travelers and their COVID-19 test results—helped Greece open for tourism while restricting entry of asymptomatic, infected travelers.
