    The Media, Inequality and Change (MIC) Center—a joint project of the Annenberg School for Communication and the School of Communication and Information at Rutgers University—along with the Media Mobilizing Project and Free Press have received a $2.6 million collaborative grant from Independence Public Media to take stock of Philadelphia’s media ecosystem and assess its strengths and weaknesses.

  • Men’s lacrosse gets lofty preseason rankings

    Inside Lacrosse has picked Penn fifth in its Face-Off Yearbook Top 20, while Lacrosse Magazine has the Quakers 10th in its Nike/US Lacrosse Preseason Top 20. Penn is one of three Ivy League teams in both polls, joining Yale and Cornell.

  • Patients with acute leukemia who are treated with common therapy have increased risk for heart failure

    Patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia or acute myeloid leukemia who are treated with anthracyclines are at a heightened risk of heart failure—most often within one year of exposure to the chemotherapy treatment, according to a new study led by researchers at Penn Medicine.

    Penn’s women’s lacrosse team enters the 2020 campaign ranked by both US Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse, checking in at No. 9 in the Nike/US Lacrosse Preseason Top-20, and at No. 15 in the Inside Lacrosse Face-Off Yearbook Top-20.

  • University of Pennsylvania Class of 2024 early decision program

    The University of Pennsylvania received 6,453 applications under the first-choice Early Decision Program for the entering class of 2024. From this group of highly talented and compelling students from around the globe, 1,269 students were offered admission, approximately 53% of the expected enrolling class in the fall of 2020.
