A computer algorithm can identify 99.98% of Americans by knowing as few as 15 attributes per person, not including names or other unique data.

  • Text instructions, reminders boost rates of colonoscopies

    Having simple text conversations with patients one week before they are scheduled for a colonoscopy dramatically decreased the “no-show” rates, according to a recent study conducted by Penn Medicine researchers, and increased the rate of colonoscopies from 62 to 90 percent.

A new study from researchers in the Perelman School of Medicine has identified a key regulator of that block known as LSD1, as well as a way to genetically influence the skin to grow in a way that prevents this block from happening.
