  • Prosthetic valve mismatches common in transcatheter valve replacement procedure, increasing risk of death

    A multi-institutional study, led by researchers from Penn Medicine, found that among patients who underwent a transcatheter aortic valve replacement, a high number experienced severe and moderate cases of prosthesis-patient mismatch—meaning the implanted heart valve is too small for the patient which can lead to inadequate blood flow.

    The freshman duo of Eduoardo Graziani and Kevin Zhu teamed up in doubles to win the Gold Draw at the Ivy Plus. Graziani and Zhu defeated Dartmouth's pair 6-4 to win the Ivy Plus' Gold Draw.

  • Penn Athletics to broadcast record number of live events on NBC Sports Philadelphia

     Penn Athletics is partnering with NBC Sports Philadelphia for a record number of live broadcasts on the regional sports network during the 2018-19 year. All 17 live events will be produced by the Penn Sports Network.

    For the Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies Department’s pedagogy seminar, Lingel led a collaborative zine-making workshop. The final product is currently stocked at Blue Stockings, a feminist bookstore in New York City, and Wooden Shoe, an anarchist bookstore in Philadelphia.
