Penn Libraries Receives the Archive of Oscar-Winning Songwriter Ray Evans
PHILADELPHIA -– The University of Pennsylvania Libraries has acquired the papers and memorabilia of songwriter and Penn alum Ray Evans and his wife, Wyn, thanks to a gift from The Ray & Wyn Ritchie Evans Foundation. The Foundation will also fund the two-year appointment of a project cataloger who will fully integrate the materials into the Libraries’ collections.

Ezekiel J. Emanuel Appointed Penn Integrates Knowledge Professor at University of Pennsylvania
PHILADELPHIA -- Ezekiel J. Emanuel, a globally renowned bioethicist, will join the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania as the 13th Penn Integrates Knowledge University Professor, beginning Sept. 1. The announcement was made by Penn President Amy Gutmann and Provost Vincent Price.

Penn Ranks First in Clinical and Translational Science Award Renewal From National Institutes of Health
Philadelphia — The Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) of the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania received a $55 million renewal from the NIH in recognition for their success during the first five years of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program. The CTSAs are administered by the National Center for Research Resources.
