PHILADELPHIA — A sizable percentage of high-net-worth givers do not see themselves as philanthropists even though each gives away about a million dollars or more annually.That is among the findings of a study by the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for High Impact Philanthropy.The CHIP study involved structured interviews with 33 anonymous high-net-worth individuals, each capable of giving $1 million annually.

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania’s central computing organization, Information Systems and Computing, has received certification from the International Organization for Standardization for its data center, the first in the Ivy League to do so. “The ability of our organization to obtain international certification provides tangible proof that ISC is focused on being the best it can be,” ISC Vice President Robin Beck said.

PHILADELPHIA — The second phase of “The Big Canvas,” a series of public forums about arts and culture, will be launched on Sept. 20. The Big Canvas, an activity of the University of Pennsylvania’s Project for Civic Engagement, features seven public forums around the region throughout September and October.
