So you want your kid to get into college?

If your lifelong dream has been to get your children into Penn — or Swarthmore, or Villanova, or Penn State, or the College of New Jersey or any college — the Undergraduate Admissions Office would like to help you out.

In seminars on Sept. 8 and 9, Admissions Office staff will address some of the major concerns parents and teenagers have about the admissions process: How important are test scores, extracurricular activities, recommendations and interviews? What courses should aspiring collegians take in high school? What about financial aid? Should I visit the campus beforehand?

No matter whether your child plans to attend a large or small, public or private college, the College Admissions Seminars for faculty and staff can help make the process easier.

  • COLLEGE ADMISSIONS SEMINARS: 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8 and Thursday, Sept. 9 in Room 200, College Hall, Locust Walk between 34th and 36th streets. Admission free; RSVP requested: 215-898-8587.
