A day for family fun
Whether or not you’re a football fan, there’s plenty of fun for you and your family guaranteed at the ninth annual Penn Family Day, Saturday, Oct. 20, rain or shine.
The event begins with a tailgate party at 11 a.m. in the Franklin Field north parking lot. The party includes a box lunch and features entertainment and activities for the entire family.
Then, at noon, the Quaker football squad takes the field against Yale in Franklin Field. Faculty and staff can see the game for free, and their families and friends can get tickets for $2 each.
For those who prefer culture to sport, the University Museum’s “Modern Mongolia” celebration (see Saturday, Oct. 20) runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free for Penn faculty and staff, as well as their families and friends. Just show your PennCard at the door.
Tickets are required for the tailgate party and football game. To get yours, either print out the order form at www.hr.upenn.edu/quality/staffrecognition/familyday.asp and bring it to the Weightman Hall Ticket Office, 33rd and Spruce streets, or pick up and fill out an order form at the ticket office.
