Exclusive: Temple President Declares ‘Best Week Ever” for University
Following a historic football win and a spike in the U.S. News and World Report college rankings, Temple's president Neil Theobald didn't shirk from superlatives. Asked whether this was the university's best week ever, he said: "I think it is." Temple, which was established in 1884, recently jumped six spots in the U.S. News and World Report rankings, climbing to No. 115 overall. The university also ranked third in a graduation category adjusted for how well the school exceeded its projected rate, behind only Penn State and Michigan State. Theobald said this vastly increases the value of a Temple degree and the quality of Philadelphia's human capital as a result.
