Mizzou Professor Who Pushed Reporter Away From Protestors Is Charged With Assault
A mass media professor who was videotaped pushing a student journalist away from protesters at the University of Missouri has been charged with assault, according to the Columbia City Prosecutor’s office. On Monday afternoon the university’s interim chancellor responded to the charges and the controversy around the assistant professor, Melissa Click, saying that she is going through the tenure process, that she will not be terminated before that process is complete later this year, and that she is working from home this week as her supervisors determine whether her presence in the classroom would be too distracting for students.
