Grateful Dead fans will want to tune in "The World Cafe" on Friday, May 1, when band alumni Bob Weir and Rob Wasserman's visit to Tongue & Groove Studios is the feature of the day. For the rest of the next two weeks, host David Dye and the Cafe crew will serve up a little something for everyone:

• Tuesday, May 5 Olu Dara joins host David Dye for an interview and music from his solo debut, "In the World from Natchez To"

• Wednesday, May 6 Performance and interview with V2 recording artists The High Llamas

• Thursday, May 7 Jules Shear performs music from his new Windham Hill album of duets, "Between Us"

• Friday, May 8 Sliced Bread's Gene Shay discusses his album "What's That I Hear? The Songs of Phil Ochs" on a special Phil Ochs tribute program

• Monday, May 11 An encore presentation of Steve Forbert's visit to Tongue & Groove Studios

"The World Cafe," which is heard on more than 100 public radio stations nationwide, is produced by WXPN-FM (88.5) and airs locally from 2 to 7 p.m. weekdays. All live appearances air during the 3 to 4 p.m. hour.
