Stress Management Overview

Although there are positive aspects to stress, it can have a cumulative effect, wearing us down physically and psychologically. Learn to tune into your own signs and symptoms of stress and review stress management techniques for a less hectic life. This workshop is sponsored by Human Resources and led by an expert from Penn’s Employee Assistance Program and Work/Life Benefit Provider. Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.

Advanced Presentation Skills

This two-day workshop is geared to those who have experience in public speaking or who have attended American Management Association’s “Strategies for Developing Effective Presentation Skills” or “Projecting a Positive Professional Image.” It will provide a chance for participants to hone their ability to deliver quality presentations, even on short notice. In both impromptu and prepared speaking assignments, participants will have a chance to determine their current level of proficiency in public peaking and develop techniques to enhance their ability to reach specific audiences.

Managing and Working with Difficult People

Turning around problem employees is possibly the toughest task you face as a supervisor. Disruptive employees can sap morale, reduce productivity and prevent you from effectively running your team. This two-day American Management Association program will show you how to recognize and deal with disruptive behavior so you can counteract it and change things for the better.
