Fair housing
Interested in rental opportunities in the area? If so, stop by Penn Commons on April 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, for the Annual Rental Housing Fair, sponsored by the Office of Off-Campus Living. Penn faculty and staff can meet landlords from University City, Center City and beyond, peruse current listings, meet representatives from tenants’ rights groups and receive some personal guidance from the Office of Off-Campus Living. Child's play
Summerís quickly approaching, and if youíre still wondering what to do with your kids while youíre at work, the Department of Recreation may have the answer. The PennKids camp for children grades 1 through 7 offers sports and games in a non-competitive environment. In this yearís sessionófrom June 20 through July 29óthereís swimming every day, early and late extended day care and weekly themes. Information sessions for parents will be held at the Pottruck Center on April 1 and May 9 at noon and April 19 and May 19 at 5:30 p.m. Questions may be sent to pennkids@pobox.upenn.edu.
Keep talking
The Annenberg Public Policy Center-produced show, “Justice Talking,” just added one more award to its already-crowded mantle. The show, which airs on 90.9 WHYY-FM on Mondays at 10 p.m., was awarded an American Women in Radio and Television Gracie Allen Award for exemplary work created for women, by women and about women. The award will be formally presented at a black-tie gala June 22 in New York.
