Heart smarts

Penn’s Division of Public Safety has introduced a new health and safety initiative, the Heartsafe Automated External Defibrillator Program (AED), designed to combat sudden cardiac arrest—the leading cause of death in the workplace. This new program allows volunteers to become Penn Heartsafe Site Coordinators. These coordinators will liaise between the Division of Public Safety and Cardiac Science, the company providing the AED devices. For more information, contact Deputy Chief of Tactical and Emergency Readiness, Michael J. Fink, at 215-898-9935 or mfink@publicsafety.upenn.edu.
