Penn Dental Medicine and Spectrum Health Services, Inc. have established a partnership that is enhancing oral health care services for community members in West Philadelphia. Launched this summer, dental school faculty and students are now providing comprehensive dental care to patients within Spectrum Community Health Center.

Penn Dental Medicine is among the 23 state-wide awardees from the administration of Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolff to advance coronavirus research. The award to the lab of Henry Daniell is part of $10 million in grant funding through the state’s COVID-19 Vaccines, Treatments and Therapies program to support the rapid advancement of vaccines, treatments, and therapies.

Penn Dental Medicine’s Dana Graves has been recognized for his research as the recipient of the 2020 International Association for Dental Research (IADR) Periodontal Research Group (PRG) Award in Regenerative Periodontal Medicine, which honors investigators who have made significant contributions to the field of regenerative periodontal medicine throughout their careers.
