After teaching in schools and nonprofit literacy programs, and looking at new ways to serve marginalized communities, McInnis has been named a Tillman Scholar. He is the first Penn GSE student, and is believed to be the first Black Penn student, to receive the honor.

June 2020 marks the 51st anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and the 50th anniversary of the first official Gay Pride march in the United States. The Penn Libraries celebrates Pride Month with its latest medley of virtual resources, and also solicited electronic book and journal recommendations from the Penn LGBT Center—the second oldest university LGBT+ center in the United States.

Two environmental designers discuss The 2100 Project: An Atlas for the Green New Deal, including what a future map of America, shaped by climate change and a Green New Deal, might look like, as climate change will alter where Americans live and work, and produce energy and food.
