Out & About: Clark Park upgrade
WHAT: If you’ve walked around the University City neighborhood in recent months, you’ve probably noticed the chain-link fencing keeping people out of the “A” section of Clark Park. In early June, the fences will come down, and this section of the park will reopen to the public.WHERE: Clark Park is located between Baltimore and Woodland avenues and 43rd and 45th streets. The “A” section is situated between Baltimore and Chester avenues.

Penn and World War I
Penn was operating as usual in the early stages of World War I, but when it became apparent that the United States would enter the war, the campus’ focus changed to preparing students to join the military. In 1915, a group of students involved in a peace movement formed an organization called The University of Pennsylvania Peace League to Combat Militarism. The group sent a letter to President Woodrow Wilson calling on the United States to stay out of the conflict. Group members hoped that if the U.S. remained neutral, other nations would follow its lead.

Penn's Neurodegenerative Disease Research Center Collaborates to Improve Alzheimer's Monitoring
Penn's Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Research (CNDR) will partner with Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development, L.L.C., (J&JPRD) to develop algorithms that can identify changes in biomarkers related to disease diagnosis and for monitoring disease progression.

Each host has created a half-hour playlist that can be streamed online at any time featuring artists such as Free Energy, Dr. Dog, Hoots & Hellmouth, Reading Rainbow, Chiddy Bang and many more.
