New Round of Projects Selected for Penn Green Fund Grants
PHILADELPHIA -- Seven new sustainability projects, including installation of electric vehicle charging stations and a marketing upgrade for the Green Acorn business certification program, will receive support from the University of Pennsylvania’s Green Fund.

How Penn scored the Heisman Trophy
During this year’s Homecoming celebration, Penn was presented with a football honor that no other university has ever received—a Heisman Trophy not for a single player’s actions on the field, but for Penn’s special connection with the man for whom the award is named. “We’ve never done that before,” says Michael Comerford, one of the Heisman Trophy Trustees, adding that the idea of displaying a trophy at the University came from Penn alumnus George A. Weiss.

With an undergraduate degree in marketing, Butler spent several years as a pension administrator back in the early 1990s, during the national savings and loan crisis.

Mask and Wig Club
The Mask and Wig Club, Penn’s all-male comedy troupe, has entertained Philadelphians and the Penn community since 1889 with its original revues, often featuring skits with men dressed up as women. At the time of Mask and Wig’s founding, most colleges were only open to men, so the troupe’s cast was all male. Because of the popularity of burlesque during that era, the club adopted the genre.

Donating warm coats during the winter season
Dear Benny: I have a few coats and scarves that I’d like to donate to families in need for the holiday season. Are there any places in and around the University that accept these donations? —Keeping Warm Dear Winter Warm-up, Once again, Penn is hosting a Winter Coat Drive, an annual event that gives needy adults and children warm outerwear to help battle the winter chill. Through Dec. 10, Penn is accepting donations of gently used items with some serviceable miles still on them. (No threadbare cast-offs, please).
