Penn Team Uses Self-Assembly to Make Tiny Particles With Patches of Charge
PHILADELPHIA –- Physicists, chemists and engineers at the University of Pennsylvania have demonstrated a novel method for the controlled formation of patchy particles, using charged, self-assembling molecules that may one day serve as drug-delivery vehicles to combat disease and perhaps be used in small batteries that store and release charge.

Penn Launches Dual-Degree Master’s Program in Environmental Studies and Governmental Administration
PHILADELPHIA — The University of Pennsylvania’s Fels Institute of Government and College of Liberal and Professional Studies have announced a two-year, dual-degree program in the School of Arts and Sciences: the Masters of Environmental Studies and the Masters of Governmental Administration.

Penn Masala performs for President Obama at the White House
The a cappella group Penn Masala performed for President Barack Obama at the White House on Wednesday, Oct. 14, to celebrate the signing of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The initiative is designed to improve the health, education and economic status of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States, and the signing of coincided with the holiday of Diwali – the festival of lights – observed by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists.
