Penn Center for High Impact Philanthropy and Wharton Will Host ‘Saving Philanthropy’ Screening
PHILADELPHIA —The documentary “Saving Philanthropy” will be shown on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., in 1206 Steinberg Dietrich-Hall, 3620 Locust Walk, on the University of Pennsylvania campus. The event is hosted by the Center for High Impact Philanthropy, the School of Social Policy & Practice, the Wharton Program for Social Impact and the Wharton Leadership Program.

Wharton School at Penn Announces $12 Million Gift From Alumni Bruce Jacobs and Kenneth Levy
PHILADELPHIA -- The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania is pleased to announce a $12 million gift from Bruce Jacobs and Kenneth Levy, classes of 1986 and 1982. The gift will include $10 million to establish the Jacobs Levy Equity Management Center for Quantitative Financial Research and $2 million to fund the Wharton-Jacobs Levy Prize for Quantitative Financial Innovation. This commitment marks one of the largest gifts to The Campaign for Wharton, the school’s ambitious $550 million fundraising effort.

Ezekiel J. Emanuel Appointed Penn Integrates Knowledge Professor at University of Pennsylvania
PHILADELPHIA -- Ezekiel J. Emanuel, a globally renowned bioethicist, will join the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania as the 13th Penn Integrates Knowledge University Professor, beginning Sept. 1. The announcement was made by Penn President Amy Gutmann and Provost Vincent Price.

Wharton | San Francisco Breaks Ground on New, Expanded Facility

Penn Offering Postdoctoral Fellowships to Promote Academic Diversity
PHILADELPHIA — The University of Pennsylvania is accepting applications for its Academic Diversity Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. The program will award postdoctoral fellowships to scholars and educators from different backgrounds, races and ethnic groups and from other diverse groups whose life experience, research experience and employment background will contribute significantly to Penn’s academic excellence. The deadline for applications is Aug. 1.
