Penn football is hosting a youth camp this summer for all children ages 7-13 from Monday, June 20, through Thursday, June 23. The Penn football coaching staff, led by Head Coach Ray Priore, the reigning Ivy League Coach of the Year, will work with campers on the fundamental techniques of flag football, as well as lead campers in fun activities and competitions throughout each day to promote interest in and understanding of the game. The Penn football team is the defending champion of the Ivy League.

Mark your calendars for Penn Sprint Football's Annual Alumni Weekend set for Sept. 6-7 on Penn's campus. The weekend will begin Friday evening with the annual Athlete and Alumni Networking Event at the Dunning Coaches' Center, where current players will have an opportunity to meet former Quakers and discover career opportunities in finance, law, business, medicine, education, and other areas. Following the networking event, an alumni reception will be held in Dunning.

A new statue at Franklin Field will honor Penn alum and NFL Hall-of-Famer Chuck Bednarik. Known as “Concrete Charlie,” Bednarik played for the Quakers from 1945 to 1948, and then for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1949 to 1962.

Known as the “Cathedral of Basketball,” the Palestra opened in 1927 and has grown into one of the most historic collegiate arenas in the nation. The celebrated gymnasium has hosted more games and visiting teams and NCAA tournament games than any other college facility in the country. The first game at the sports center fell on New Year’s Day in 1927. In front of a sold-out crowd, Penn’s basketball team defeated Yale, 26-15.
