Penn GSE, Departments of Education and Commerce Conference Set: Education Technology as an Export

Two Penn Students Named Albert Schweitzer Fellows
PHILADELPHIA — Two graduate students from the University of Pennsylvania, along with 13 others from the greater Philadelphia region, have each been awarded an Albert Schweitzer Fellowship. These students, members of the 2011-12 class of Greater Philadelphia Schweitzer Fellows, will spend the next year addressing health disparities in the region while developing lifelong leadership skills.

Penn Students Save Energy, Increase Green Awareness Through 3rd Penn Energy Showdown Competition
PHILADELPHIA – Students of Harrison College House have won a third successive Penn Energy Showdown, a University of Pennsylvania campus energy efficiency competition organized by Penn’s Fels Institute of Government. The Penn Energy Showdown is designed to reduce energy consumption in campus dormitories, while increasing student awareness about how small behavioral changes can impact energy use.
