Friday, May 26 Nora Guthrie pays tribute to her father Woody and discusses the “Mermaid Avenue” project, an album of previously unreleased Woody songs

Monday, May 29 An encore presentation of David Gray’s visit

Tuesday, May 30 Singer/songwriter Melissa Ferrick drops by the Cafe studios to perform music from her latest album, “Freedom”

Wednesday, May 31 Oakland, California’s Vagabond Lovers visit the World Cafe for a performance and interview featuring music from “When I Was You”

“The World Cafe,” which is heard on more than 100 public radio stations nationwide, is produced by WXPN (88.5 FM) and airs locally from 2 to 7 p.m. weekdays. All live appearances air between 3 and 4 p.m.
