Progressive rock, folk rock and country rock all take a star turn on “The World Cafe” over the next two weeks. And in the midst of all this, there’s a tasty serving of Phish as well. Here’s the complete rundown:

Thursday, Sept. 7 Guitarist Steve Howe of Yes stops by the Cafe and David examines the progressive rock movement
Friday, Sept. 8 The Cafe visits John Hiatt in Boulder, Colo.

“The World Cafe”, which is heard on more than 100 public radio stations nationwide, is produced by WXPN (88.5 FM) and airs locally from 2 to 7 p.m. weekdays. All live appearances air between 3 and 4 p.m.
