It was a very good year
As is customary at this time of year, “The World Cafe” spends the last half of December looking back at the year’s best, with programs devoted to the best performances and recordings of the year and encore broadcasts of favorite Cafe visits. There’s also a special event — a week-long celebration of Rounder Records on the label’s 30th anniversary.

Thursday, Dec. 7 Kate Rusby performs music from her latest album, “Sleepless”
Friday, Dec. 8 Indigenous visits Indre studios
Week of Dec. 11-15 The World Cafe celebrates Rounder Records’ 30th Anniversary with a series of concerts.
Monday, Dec. 18 The Cafe looks back at the best acoustic performances of 2000
“The World Cafe”, which is heard on more than 100 public radio stations nationwide, is produced by WXPN (88.5 FM) and airs locally from 2 to 7 p.m. weekdays. All live appearances air between 3 and 4 p.m.
