Penn students welcome basketball season in 'The Line'
As far as Penn student traditions go, The Line is fairly new, dating back only 40 years or so. The Line is part pep rally, part slumber party, and part endurance test with the prize being the best student seats in The Palestra.

Penn Green Fund Seeks Grant Applications for Innovative Sustainability Projects
PHILADELPHIA –- The University of Pennsylvania announced today the formation of a Green Fund, an internal grant-making entity to seed new project ideas from faculty, students and staff that support the goals and objectives of Penn's Climate Action Plan. The Plan is a long-range strategy to reduce the University’s carbon footprint and enhance its overall sustainability.

“Jacob Lawrence and the Urban Experience: Selected Prints” Exhibition to Open at Penn’s Arthur Ross Gallery
PHILADELPHIA — “Jacob Lawrence and the Urban Experience: Selected Prints 1963-2000,” which opens at the University of Pennsylvania’s Arthur Ross Gallery on Oct. 16, is an exhibit of nearly 40 prints paying homage to the city and the urban experience that inspired the artist to share his every-day experiences with people and places in Harlem.
