PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania has selected Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates as the designer for Penn Park, a 24-acre space for athletics, recreation and open space.

Penn Names Eric J. Furda New Dean of Admissions
Eric J. Furda, vice president for alumni relations and former executive director of undergraduate admissions at Columbia University, has been named dean of admissions at the University of Pennsylvania. Furda, a 1987 Penn graduate, will assume his position as dean on July 1, 2008.

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania will commemorate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy with “Opening Minds to a Diverse Democracy,” a symposium on social change and nearly two weeks of special MLK-related events, including lectures, films and discussion groups on the Penn campus from Jan. 21 to Feb. 1.
