WHO: RecycleMania volunteers, Facilities and Real Estate Services employees

WHAT: Trash Mountain is the kick-off event for RecycleMania @ Penn, part of a national effort on more than 100 campuses to promote recycling and re-use

WHEN: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 23

WHERE: College Green on Penn’s campus

The Facililties and Real Estate Services division at the University of Pennsylvania is collecting bags of trash and bags of recyclables for five days from 500 college house residents. The bagged trash will be deposited in one large pile with bags of recyclables in a second pile, providing a visual representation of the amount of trash vs. recyclables.

RecycleMania volunteers will be on hand to provide information and to answer questions about Trash Mountain and RecycleMania.
