Penn Vet Pathologists Uncover the Fate of Stranded Marine Mammals
Perry Habecker’s claim to fame? He’s the only Pennsylvania pathologist to have autopsied a “Pennsylvania” manatee. The distinction is not incidental; dissecting and studying dead marine mammals is just part of the job for Habecker, chief of the Large Animal Pathology Service at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine’s New Bolton Center campus, and for his colleagues.

Music on film
Music lovers now have a film festival to call their own. The ‘XPN Music Film Festival will feature more than 10 films, including rockumentaries and biopics about musicians, as well as movies defined by great soundtracks. The festival, produced by the Philadelphia Film Society, will run from Thursday, April 26, to Sunday, April 29. The festival will take place at the Annenberg Center and other theater locations throughout Philadelphia.
