Stefanie Cella of Public Safety Named to West Philadelphia YMCA Board
PHILADELPHIA— Stefanie Cella, the director of operations and external affairs at the University of Pennsylvania’s Division of Public Safety, has been appointed to the board at the West Philadelphia YMCA.Cella will serve a three-year term, planning coordinating and evaluating the West Philadelphia YMCA’s programs, services and personnel.

Penn President Amy Gutmann to Introduce HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius at April 7 Community Schools Forum
WHO: U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, keynote speaker at the 2010 national forum of the Coalition of Community schools, will be introduced by University of Pennsylvania President Amy Gutmann. Also making remarks will be Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter, U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah and Pennsylvania Education Superintendent Gerald Zahorchak.

Penn GSE Fellow Joins Philadelphia’s New Policy and Analysis Center
PHILADELPHIA— Heather Rouse, a Stoneleigh Public Policy Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education, has been named deputy research director at the City of Philadelphia’s new Policy and Analysis Center, designed to improve health, education and social services for city residents.

Tree Planting on College Green Celebrates Penn’s Tree Campus USA Designation From Arbor Day Foundation
WHAT: University of Pennsylvania students and community volunteers will plant 45 trees on campus to celebrate the University’s earning the Arbor Day Foundation’s Tree Campus USA designation. The trees will be planted on College Green.Since the Tree Campus USA program began in 2008, when 29 colleges and universities earned this honor, participation has more than doubled. To celebrate this success, tree-planting events are being held on five college campuses, including Penn’s.
