Fox Fitness Center reopens for business

The facility has been redesigned to create more space for individual, small group, and educational programming options, while still offering cardio and strength equipment for general use.

Penn Campus Recreation has announced the reopening of the Robert A. Fox Fitness Center. The facility, located at Gate 2 within the Weiss Pavilion at Franklin Field on 33rd Street, between Spruce and Walnut streets, has been redesigned to create more space for individual, small group, and educational programming options, while still offering cardio and strength equipment for general use.

Group classes will begin later this fall. Penn Campus Recreation will make another announcement in early October regarding the schedule and some free demo class sessions.

Fox Fitness Center hours for the semester are Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. The facility is open to all active Campus Recreation members. To sign up for a Campus Recreation membership, visit the Penn Rec Portal on the Campus Recreation website and click Memberships. You must be affiliated with Penn to join.

Day lockers are available at the Fox Fitness Center (users must bring a lock), and locker room facilities with showers are located at the Hutchinson Gymnasium in the Tse Center just steps away, with access managed via video intercom by the Allied guard at Fox Fitness. Annual lockers in Hutchinson are available for purchase via Membership Services in the Pottruck Center.

Recreational walking and jogging are available Monday through Friday at Franklin Field from noon to 2 p.m. To access the track, enter through the main entrance of the Fox Fitness Center and provide a valid PennCard or affiliate card. Signage is available in the concourse to direct patrons to the track.
