Penn Alum to Discuss Life Aboard Space Station

WHO:

Garrett Reisman, a graduate of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania, returns to his alma mater to discuss his 102-day mission to the International Space Station aboard Space Shuttle Endeavor. He will also bring back a piece of the world’s first computer, ENIAC, given to him by Penn engineers and carried with him into space.

On June 14, Reisman began a three-month tour of duty aboard the orbiting laboratory where he performed a spacewalk and executed numerous tasks with the Space Station robotic arm and the new robotic manipulator, Dextre.
