MEDIA ADVISORY & PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
WHO:
Robotics researchers from the University of Pennsylvania GRASP Laboratory host an open house for area high school students, media and the public to observe National Robotics Week. Current Penn projects from modular, self-moving robots and aerial vehicles to tele-immersion and omni-directional vision will be "on."
WHAT:
Through the initiative of U. S. Rep. Mike Doyle, Congress has recognized the second week of April as National Robotics Week. Events take place nationwide to mark the importance of robotics innovation in American productivity and competitiveness.
WHERE:
Penn's GRASP Laboratory, 33rd Street between Walnut and Spruce streets, at Levine Hall, 4th floor
WHEN:
Friday, April 16, 2010, noon to 5 p.m.
Students from Overbrook and Paul Robeson High schools will arrive at 4 p.m.
