In an interview about her new role in “Book Club,” alumna Candice Bergen reminisced about her time at Penn. Bergen, though crowned both Miss University and homecoming queen, “flunked out of opera and art” in the mid-60s. She returned in 1992 to receive an honorary degree for her accomplishments.
