Investing in funds that empower women boomed in 2019, Wharton study finds

Sandi Hunt of the Wharton School spoke about her research on the increase in investments in “gender-lens-related” funds on Wall Street, a category that includes private equity and venture funds with female portfolio managers, companies with women in executive positions, workplaces that are known to treat women well, and products or services that benefit women. “Using capital to get an impact return is on the rise, and we’ve seen significant movement around women’s empowerment,” she said.
