NJ considers giving patients more choices when being transferred to other facilities

Health System CEO Ralph Muller opposed efforts by New Jersey lawmakers to require patients to reconsider transferring to an out-of-state facility for treatment. “This would put severe limitations on the elderly to come to Penn or facilities in New York and elsewhere,” said Muller. “So we think having that kind of limitation on a facility when a person’s life is at stake is just bad medicine.”
