U.S. to penalize war crimes investigators looking into American troops

William W. Burke-White of the Law School said U.S. sanctions and visa restrictions will not succeed in stopping an investigation by the International Criminal Court into alleged U.S. war crimes committed in Afghanistan. “This new sanctions regime draws strong parallels to those imposed by the U.S. in the past against terrorist groups, dictators and human rights abusers,” he said.
