PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania’s Law School and Wharton School are launching an accelerated three-year program leading to both the J.D. and M.B.A. degrees.

PHILADELPHIA –- The University of Pennsylvania Law School and two human rights groups are calling on the government of Iran to release an Iranian legal scholar scheduled to teach in the U.S.

PHILADELPHIA –- A University of Pennsylvania Law School professor is introducing a way of teaching mediation law using an interactive, multi-media approach, combining a text book with an instructional DVD.

PHILADELPHIA –- In a radically new interactive approach to legal scholarship, more than 100 leading scholars are debating the fundamental questions of modern criminal law through a law professor’s version of the TV show “American Idol.”

PHILADELPHIA -- Marilyn Jordan Taylor has been named dean of the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania, effective Oct. 1.

PHILADELPHIA –- A University of Pennsylvania Law School group is recommending ways to implement the Agreement on Justice and Accountability between the Ugandan government and the Lord’s Resistance Army rebel group.

PHILADELPHIA –- Louis Rulli has been named director of the Gittis Center for Clinical Legal Studies at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Rulli will succeed Douglas Frenkel, who is stepping down as director on June 30. Frenkel will remain on the faculty at Penn Law, focusing on teaching, writing and dispute-resolution work.
