Commencement 2022

Graduates on Franklin Field throw graduation caps in the air.
The University of Pennsylvania hosts its 266th Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2022. The ceremony will feature the conferral of degrees, the awarding of honorary degrees, greetings by University officials, and remarks by the Commencement speaker, Ken Burns, American documentary filmmaker, recipient of 16 Emmy Awards and 2 Academy Award nominations.

Minority Physicians Graduation Gala

The UPHS-CHOP Alliance of Minority Physicians welcomes keynote speaker Cameron Webb, a physician, lawyer, and policy advisor for COVID-19 Equity on the White House COVID-19 Response Team, in celebration of UPHS-CHOP AMP graduating residents and fellows and 10 Years of the Alliance of Minority Physicians.

In celebration of the Class of 2022, the Office of the Chaplain invites all graduating seniors to the Baccalaureate Ceremony, an annual ceremony during Commencement Season that brings together graduates from all four undergraduate schools to reflect on their time at Penn and celebrate together as a senior class. This year, the ceremony features guest speaker Dorothy Roberts, a PIK professor at the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law.
