Penn announces nine 2024 Thouron Scholars

Six fourth-year students and three recent graduates will use the award to pursue graduate studies in the United Kingdom.

Penn 2022 graduate awarded a Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Fellowship

Jade Gonzalez, a 2022 Penn graduate, has been selected as a 2024 Thomas R. Pickering Graduate Fellow and will receive funding for a two-year master’s degree and path to a career in the U.S. Foreign Service.

Penn named a ‘top producer’ of 2023-24 Fulbright Scholars 

The U.S. Department of State has named Penn a Fulbright U.S. Student Program “top producing institution” for the 2023-24 academic year, as one of the colleges and universities with the highest number of recipients selected.

Penn alumna Ashley Fuchs is a 2024 Marshall Scholar

Ashley Fuchs, a 2022 graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences, has been chosen as a 2024 Marshall Scholar. Established by the British Government, the Marshall Scholarship funds as many as three years of study for a graduate degree in any field in an institution in the United Kingdom.

David Raizen, a professor of neurology, alongside PURM student Hina Sako, spent the summer moving forward research examining how sickness affects sleep.
