Postdoctoral fellowships

Penn’s Academic Diversity Fellowship Program is seeking talented scholars and educators from different backgrounds, races, ethnic groups, sexual orientations, economic status and gender identities to apply for postdoctoral training in all areas of study. Three-year fellowships are available to graduate students from Penn and other institutions who have completed, or will complete, the requirements for a Ph.D. by their start date. Additionally, postdoctoral scholars from other institutions who have completed their dissertation within the last three years are eligible.

The fellowships, which will begin in January 2012, provide a stipend of $43,000 in the first year, with $2,000 increments in the second and third years of the program, as well as annual allowances for travel ($2,000) and research ($5,000), and one-time relocation expenses of $5,000. Those selected to receive the fellowships will obtain highly mentored scholarly and research training, courses and workshops to enhance their research success skills and prepare them for a faculty position at a major university.
