We are delighted by Monday’s Supreme Court decision, which is a long overdue and critically important recognition of LGBTQ rights. This ruling is a step toward equity and justice for all by bringing federal recognition to the rights of LGBTQ people to be free from sex-based discrimination. Penn has long recognized the rights and contributions of the LGBTQ community to our campus and our society and we are pleased that, by extending federal employment discrimination protections, our country is closer to providing equal employment opportunity for all.
