‘4 Little Girls’ DocumentaryThe Center for Africana Studies at Penn presents a free screening of “4 Little Girls,” a film by Spike Lee that documents the notorious 1963 racial terrorist bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham during the Civil Rights Movement, which took the lives of four young African American girls. This event will feature a panel discussion with Africana Studies professors Vaughn A. Booker and Marcia Chatelain, as well as Associate Professor of History William Sturkey, moderated by Brian Peterson, director of the Makuu Black Cultural Center. Free and open to the public.
