Hosted by the Caroline Rothstein Oral Poetry Program with Fariha Nawar and members of The Excelano Project, renowned poet Kai Davis visits Penn for a performance and conversation. The Poet Laureate of Philadelphia, Kai's work explores Blackness, queerness, womanhood, grief, and the many ways these themes converge. Register to attend.

Evolution in Deaf Identities

Presented in collaboration with ASL and Deaf Studies in Penn's Department of Linguistics, Crom Saunders, an associate professor in the American Sign Language Department of Columbia College, will explore some changes the Deaf community has undergone in recent years and how we now look at Deaf identity in the U.S. The session is presented in ASL with ASL/English interpretation provided.

Building Better Nutrition Together

The Perelman School of Medicine, the Community Grocer, and the Cobbs Creek community collaborate for this open dialogue about the challenges of improving health by having a healthier diet. The conversation will include results from a nutrition study conducted over the summer. Lunch is provided.
