Through visible demonstrations, the Penn Program in Environmental Humanities hosts The Basins and Borders workshop to draw together those interested in learning about water absorption, drainage, runoff, and flooding. The workshop includes arranging the basins with permeable materials and flooding the surface with water to observe the rate of absorption and drainage through the screened areas.
